Cast of Characters
Sarah Hart - Main protagonist. Sarah is a widow who takes in boarders and restores antique quilts in Maple Hill, Massachusetts. In the first book the author explains the meticulous steps taken to do this. Sarah also solves mysteries related to the quilts she restores.
Sarah's Family
Jason Hart - Sarah's lawyer son. He's moved his family back to Maple Hill, the town he grew up in and bought the family home back from the previous owners.
Maggie Hart - Jason's wife and Sarah's daughter-in-law. She owns Magpie Antiques (after the nickname Jason uses for her) a shop she opened just shortly after the move to Maple Hill.
Audrey Hart- Sarah's 12 year old granddaughter and Jason and Maggie's daughter. She's the outgoing twin.
Amy Hart - Audrey's twin sister. Amy is a little shyer.
William Drayton - Sarah's father. He's in his 90's, has Alzheimers and lives in a nursing home. His mental abilities fade in and out. One moment being in the present and the next in the past.
Sarah's Friends
Martha - Sarah's best friend and next door neighbor. Sarah and Martha are both around the same age. Martha is married and has grandchildren who have become friends with Audrey and Amy.
Vanessa Sawyer - Owner of The Wild Goose Chase a fabrics and craft store that Sarah comes to often to pick up supplies and crafting advice. Vanessa is half Sarah's age, so my guess she's in her thirties. Her store seems to be huge.
